Kok-Tube, counting from the sea level, is the highest TV tower in the world

Almaty Tower - television and radio broadcasting tower in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, built during the period from 1975 to 1983. The tower is one of the most earthquake-resistant and high building in the world.

The tower is located on the slopes of the Kok-Tube, south-east center of the city. The height of the tower is 371.5 m, its antenna height of 114 m rises to 1,130 meters above sea level. There are two observation platforms - at a height of 146 m and 252 m in the tower , where you can get by using two high-speed elevators. However, the tower is closed to tourists.
